Interview with LawConsulted Managing Partner: “Our Greatest Asset Is Clients’ Trust”

This year, LawConsulted celebrates 15 years in the legal services market. Over this time, the company has grown from a small team into an international group with offices in several European countries. We spoke with Managing Partner Alexander Hoffmann about how the firm was founded, what helps it remain competitive, and how he sees the future of the legal profession.

– Alexander, how did the story of LawConsulted begin?

We started in 2009, when several lawyers decided to join forces. We didn’t have a big name or an impressive client list, but we had an idea – to create a firm where quality and honesty come before volume and marketing slogans. Our first cases were in civil and family law. The hardest part was proving that we could perform on par with the major players. Gradually, entrepreneurs began to turn to us, and they were the ones who opened the door for us into corporate law.

– Which milestones were key to the company’s development?

The first important step was the formation of the corporate practice. That was when we began providing systematic support to businesses: from tax consulting to defense in arbitration disputes. The next stage was international expansion – we opened offices abroad and started working with cross-border transactions. It was a challenge, but one that made us stronger. Another turning point was the adoption of digital solutions. We were among the first to implement electronic document management and online consultations.

– How have client expectations changed over these 15 years?

Modern clients expect not only a skilled lawyer, but also a strategic partner. They want to understand not just what the law says, but also what risks lie ahead. They value speed, transparency, and the ability to think one step forward. For us, this means one thing – we must be not only experts but also advisors who help make management decisions.

– What does clients’ trust mean to you?

It’s the foundation of everything. We have always built our work in such a way that clients feel their interests come first for us. More than 80% of our new clients come through referrals – this is the best proof that our approach works. Trust cannot be bought or quickly earned. It is built over years, through results and honest relationships.

– To what extent are technologies changing your work?

Technology really helps. Online tools speed up processes, bring us closer to clients, and save time. But it’s important to remember that technology is just a tool. Decisions are made by people, and the human factor remains decisive. A lawyer must be able to combine analytics with empathy. A machine can calculate risks, but it cannot sense the mood of negotiations or build trust.

– How do you see the future of LawConsulted?

We will continue to grow internationally. The world is becoming increasingly interconnected, and the legal business must be ready for that. Our goal is to remain the firm that clients turn to not only when they need to solve a problem, but when they need a strategic solution. I believe LawConsulted will continue to combine experience with innovation while remaining a company whose greatest asset is clients’ trust.
